It's amazing... the lyrics, the song, the guitar and the techno balance out really well... it's like something I'd hear from KMFDM except uh BETTER and i'm a HUGE KMFDM fan I don't know whatever it is , it's pretty amazing can anyone list the credits to it? If it is infact a UV track? I just wish I'd hear more :(

message contents:   My message was too big - so part 2...Selene – Yes MSR (Metropolis Street Racer on Dreamcast) is an excellent game with a few flaws. I got 300,000 odd kudos points before I got bored with it. I loaded it up last night for a quick blast – if you fancy a challenge I overtook 18 cars on the Chapter 1 challenge stage – although I’m sure it’s possible to get 20+. I used the Skyline but challengers may use any car they wish - it’d be interesting to know which one, though. No idea what we’re on about? Want to get into videogames? www.computoz.net are doing the Dreamcast console + 3 games (including MSR) and memory card for 80 quid – bargain. It also has built in Internet access. Horrible – Good to know someone’s hammering UV in the States – see my comments a couple of posts ago for info on bookings. Cheers JV,

message contents:   Hello Everyone. “Kickboxing French Bird” – that’s the best name ever – well done. Don’t know about Nightmare – I’ve been cruelly cajoled into going cycling on Sunday morning. MORNING?!? But I’ll see. Thanks for your kind offer but Webmistress is now “untied” so stay tuned for more MP3’s, Italian tour diary and some fun stuff in the next couple of weeks. Phil – We did have some excellent shirts with a “Team Ultraviolence Racing” on the front and “Fucking Fast” written on the back – primarily for overtaking enemy cyclists. But we, um, sold them all. There will be more shirts at some point, possibly sold over this site. There are UV shirts on the web but none are band approved even though some claim to be. Infinite Sin – Welcome aboard, soldier! There are UV downloads on www.emusic.com but I think there’s a small charge. If anyone reading this is feeling generous they might like to send you a copy…Symtal – The gig situation is the same as when I lasted posted on the subject. Thanks a lot for the cool mix – look out for it will on the MP3 section shortly.

message contents:   Hello. Rosco – It was just a joke that doesn’t translate – try watching Shaft or Stasky and Hutch to learn the lingo. Cassi – Most band’s bios tend to be a list of factual events with a lot of spin – I decided to make mine more extensive and personal. Also by it’s very nature a biography is retrospective. That aside, it’s a fair cop – the bio will be extended to the present day in the coming months with pretty pictures and an edited version for those who don't want to trawl through the "substantial" word count. If you want to know what’s happening now check out http://www.babylonmagazine.net/english/vis_int.php?nome_band=ULTRAVIOLENCE&quante_volte=2002-06-04 for a recent interview. Cyber Queen – Hope your club is going well. I’ve never been to Sydney but I did a quick surf around and http://www.ar.com.au/~novakill/ looks like a good place to start. On the videogames front has anyone else got Pro Pinball Trilogy for Dreamcast? It’s totally mega – it took me ages to find a copy but it was worth it. Post some hi-scores NOW! Cheers JV.

message contents:   Hello Everyone. Jeff; EMI own the sound copyright to the Terrorvision mix – if a few more people request it I may ask them for permission to put it on (as it was promo only in the first place) but I’ve got the feeling they’ll give me a corporate “no.” Dr Fuck Off; That’s some name you’ve got. Sure I’m interested in playing Middlesbrough – I’m writing new music at the moment but the occaisional one-off would be good for road testing. Can you mail me details of the venue/their website address, a prospective date and a financial offer? This also applies to anyone else wanting to book Ultraviolence – yes, we will do weddings/funerals/bar mitz-whatever things etc. Rosco; Katty Heath was the singer in Rome and at (nearly)all UV gigs – she also sang on “Elektra” and “Speed and Distance” from the last album. Don’t you be dissin’ ma dancers, though! Angle Delight; No date in London right now but when I’ve got a significant amount of new music to play you I’ll book one. Anyone got any interesting ideas of venue? On a general note apologies for the lack of new site content lately – Webmistress is polishing off a PHD but I’ll put her to work soon. On the videogame front I’ve been playing Pro Pinball: Fantastic Journey (PSOne) lately – it’s a great laugh – highly recommended for under a tenner. Does anyone know where I can buy Pro Pinball: Big Race USA online? It looks like fun, too. Cheers JV

message contents:   Yo and Hello. Cassiopaeia – Thanks alot. I don’t plan to retire unless you want to buy me a mansion (with private racing track), flotilla of bicycles, several plasma TV’s with games consoles, vintage wine cellar…Seriously, I’ll start writing new material when I get back from Italy (expect FULL UNCENSORED diary entry) and there’ll be releases next year. No good news on the vinyl front, though. Vinyl ceased to be profitable around the time of “Shocker” (1996) so Earache stopped doing it and there’s been nothing since then with the exception of a few promos. See the discography section for full track listings/formats of every release – “Strangled” is taken from the “Killing God” album. Tank – Look forward to seeing the vid – please send me something when you can. Masaka – Ha! Finally a challenge. I tried to order SF3 Alpha from Amazon but they’d sold out – does anyone know where I can get a copy for under a tenner-ish? I used to be well into SF2 Turbo on the SNES – one of the best games ever esp in two player mode. My mate Paul Lewis used to hit me with a chair leg when I beat him as Zangief by trapping him in the corner and using heavy kicks! I went off beat ‘em ups a bit when I got stung at £50 for Tekken 2 (which was almost the same as T1) and a lot of the games I’ve played since seem to rely on learning combos/specials instead of just hitting things. I suppose this is a progression but…well. Anyway, having just finished “help ‘em up” Ico I could do with giving M Bison and the crew a good kicking. If anyone wants to post any more challenges I’m well up for it – GT3 or WRC would be cool. Cheers JV

Loads of artifacts and grain that is making it really for it look any good. Oh and I had to cut it down by 30 seconds as 4 minutes was a bit long for my major, hope you don't mind. message contents:   Hi everyone. Kitots - Thanks a lot - keep the faith! Nick - I'll happily upload more tracks if the demand is there - follow the instructions in the MP3 section. No plans to tour the US right now, I'm afraid. If you know of any suitable promoters/venues then feel free to pass on my e-mail address. The drum sounds on the last album were mostly samples and 909. I got really into programming short noises on synths, fucking them up on the sampler and using extreme EQ and sometimes distortion on the desk. Using hard gating/compresion often helps sounds to "bite". The main rule about any sound is spend ages on it - and then ages more. Anything goes. I use fairly standard FX units - the Lexican MPX100 is one of my faves. I often get asked about studio stuff at gigs so maybe a studio section on the site would be good - with equipment lists for each album and a detailed "how it was done" for one track - let us know if you want it. Vanne - Yes, you are so good you told us twice! Actually, having said that the message board is a bit awkward to use. Cheers JV

message contents:   H-Core ; This could be your lucky day! We just uploaded free MP3s onto the site last night, including one exclusive mix of Sex (a track from Superpower). Go to Earache.com (see links) for paying downloads of more tracks. Kriss ; The version of HCMF you refer to is in fact the original album version (coincidently also in the MP3 section as a free download). Rex (Electric Ballroom DJ) mixes in the Bill Hicks samples himself and cuts the track off a few minuites before the end. All I can suggest is getting a Bill Hicks CD and remixing it yourself! Cheers JV

message contents:   Which next. Good question. This is a hard choice, because the 2 I would go for are both very good :] You could go with "PsychoDrama" - this is definately the option if you would prefer something with a storyline. This is almost a gabber opera, but don't let that put you off. The storyline does not hinder the pounding music in any way, in fact, it enhances it if anything. Or you could go for the second choice, "Killing God". This would be the option if you would prefer out and out hardcore techno. This was my first purchase ;] You would not be disapointed with either of these, but as they say...the choice is yours :] °ºo[|-JØÑ ØF S¥MTÃL-|]oº° http://Symtal.CJB.net http://www.mp3.com/Symtal

message contents:   Happy New Year to everyone. Jen - your photos will be up soon - we really need a gig/photos section as I've had quite a few sent and Earache should be sending me archives of UV photo shoots in due course. I was intending to "get busy" doing web stuff over Xmas but got struck down with a nasty fever - I'll do a "performers" section in due course with details of singers etc. with photos if I can get them. Expect it in a couple of months when the "existing" sections are up to date. Squee - Atomic was a local magazine (to Nottingham/Midlands) in the mid 90s. I recorded a track ("Gangster Gabba"(!))for them which came free with an issue (see discography). It was 212bpm and had Joe Pesci sampled from Goodfellas with lots of "room clearing" indusrial noise. Lee who ran the mag went on to form a label (presumably "Atomic Fate") and put out a comp with a couple of my tracks on it. He then got his fingers stung in "bigtime" gig promotion and I don't know if he's done anything music-wise since. You can vote for an MP3 of "Gangster Gabba" if you like! Also, has anyone got an Xbox/Gamecube yet and are they any good? Cheers JV

I recall it being based in Nottingham, and know that your good self had a couple o tracks on their releases, so just though that you could shed a bit of light. Again, sorry to be wanting answers, but I most curious. Cheers, Squee.

message contents:   Funny things, MP3s. Ideally they're like home taping in that you can sample the music without buying it yet. On the other hand some people's "record" collections consist (mostly) of them. This is kind of silly as the data is compressed on an MP3 file by around four times and so the quality suffers accordingly. Also, as pointed out, the artist and others involved in the release are unpaid. The Internet seems to me to be a microcosm of "normal" life in that it is divided into buyers and sellers - the buyers want something for nothing and the sellers don't want to do anything particually useful - just to shift product - which is a shame. If everyone concerned made an effort the net would be a "better place". Here I'm trying to strike a balance - of course I'd love it if everyone went out and bought all my CDs, but I don't think their descision will be based on whether they agree with, say, my opinions about dogs (see interests) or whether they enjoyed Oct 27th's diary entry. We'll be posting some free MP3s on the site shortly - a taster track from each album and a rare track once a month as voted for on this message board - start now if you like. It would be nice if people used this message board to air their opinions about anything on the site (or not as the case may be) and not just as a glorified FAQ (as so many boards are). Kill that motherfucking bass! Cheers JV
